San Javier, popularly known as commune 13, was once the birthplace of Pablo Emilio Escobar Gaviria's hitmen, the biggest drug lord.

But today it is a place of art and peace. Throughout the tour you will find facades full of graffiti that reflect the violent history experienced by its inhabitants, you will encounter the joy of the people, dance groups, painters, troubadours, improvisers and much more.

It is very easy to get to the place, you can do it through the metro system, take a taxi, Uber or hire a tour.

If you go by metro from the center you just have to take the one that goes to the San Antonio station, get off there and transfer to line B that goes to San Javier and from there take the bus that goes to the escalators.

But if you want to take a tour on the metro cable car before arriving at Commune 13, you can do so before leaving the metro; simply when you get off the train at San Javier, go up the stairs to line J, take the metro cable car and take a walk above Commune 13, returning to the San Javier station again, and from there, take the bus to the stairs.

When you arrive at the place you will meet local guides who will approach you and offer you the tour while they tell you the history of each graffiti and the place. You can purchase their services or you can take the tour alone if you wish.
